Dr. Matthew Thompson, MD, has returned to Haiti to continue his mission work there. He’s performed surgery on several patients, including some children. It has been some time since his last trip to the beleaguered country, due to rioting and uncertainty there.
Dr. Thompson is there on behalf of 1Focus.org, a group he is heavily involved in. He is part of a team of several surgeons that will train, teach, supply and equip the Haitian team at HUEH, the state hospital that houses the ophthalmology training program.
