Dr. Kurt Schwiesow, MD, leads continuing education seminar

Dr. Kurt Schwiesow, MD, recently lead a continuing education event for area optometrists at Tower Clock Surgery Center. The seminar was entitled Microincisional Glaucoma Surgery Update – Fall 2019 and allowed those in attendance one credit hour in glaucoma education.

Dr. Schwiesow, a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist, often presents to optometrists to further education them in glaucoma treatment. His discussion focused on devices, such as the Xen stent and iStent, as well as procedures in how to treat the disease.

As a bonus, Dr. Matthew Thompson, MD, a fellowship-trained cornea specialist, also briefly updated attendees on cornea crosslinking.

Tower Clock Eye Center doctors often present to fellow physicians, as well as the public, to better educate them on pertinent topics as relate to eye disease, new treatments, and the latest technology.
